Corporate/Community Teams
Get your group together and join us for the 20th Annual Komen Quad Cities Race for the Cure ®! Be a part of one of the most exciting and meaningful community events in the area and show your support for the fight against breast cancer.
On June 13, more than 8000 people will Race for the Cure, and 2000 of them will be members of corporate or community teams. Teams have a variety of reasons for participating – some to support a co-worker or friend with breast cancer, some to support a great cause and all to have a good time.
Why create a team?
Besides having a lot of fun as a group, you’ll see several benefits to forming a team.
- Visible commitment in the fight against breast cancer
- We’ll pack your team’s t-shirts, bib numbers and accessories for you
- Early packet pickup and distribution of team materials
- Opportunities to win Corporate/Community Team awards
Who can form a Corporate/Community Team?
Any group of 10 or more can form a team. It could be your business or workplace, church, school, PTA, book club, coffee group, lunch bunch, workout buddies or just a group of friends.
A special invitation to School Athletic Teams: Coaches, sign your athletes up as a group and challenge other schools to do the same. For information, contact Annette Kroening.
How do we sign up?
E-mail our teams coordinator, Honey Bedell, or call 1-877-921-CURE (2873) to register your team name and to get your complimentary team captain application. Then use the documents posted here to put together your team:

Team Packet Pickup
Team captains can pick up their team members’ race bibs, t-shirts and other materials on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. at Augustana College’s Carver Physical Education Center. Click here for a map to this location; Carver PE Center is #62 on the PDF map. If that time is not convenient for you, your team’s box will be available at the regular Packet Pickup on Friday, June 12, 2009, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. at the i wireless Center in downtown Moline.
