SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE-QUAD CITIES AFFILIATE TO HOLD 2ND ANNUAL EDUCATIONAL SYMPOSIUM

Breast cancer survivors and their supporters are invited to launch breast cancer awareness month in the Quad Cities on October 1st at the 2nd annual Educational Symposium sponsored by the Komen Quad Cities Affiliate and Gilda's Club Quad Cities.

Nominees Sought For 2012 Honorary Survivor Chair Of 23rd Annual Susan G. Komen Quad Cities Race For The Cure®

Nominees are now being accepted for Honorary Survivor Chair of the 23rd Annual Susan G. Komen Quad Cities Race for the Cure?. This honor will be awarded to a participating supporter of the event and a survivor of breast cancer, the nation’s 2nd leading cause of cancer-related death among women.

Options For Mammograms and Breast Health Services Exist for Women in Need

The Quad Cities Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® advised women in need today that options do exist for assistance with their breast health care, despite news that The Voucher Programs is temporarily unable to provide additional vouchers.

The Quad-City Times Bix 7 Goes PINK

While the Komen Quad Cities Race for the Cure® was cancelled due to lightning on June 12th, breast cancer survivors and Race for the Cure supporters will have another chance to celebrate survivorship and race for a reason, thanks to the Quad City Times Bix 7.

Teams Needed for 2010 Susan G. Komen Quad Cities Race for the Cure®

Teams of walkers and runners make up about 30 percent of Race for the Cure participants. The Race needs about 80 more teams to meet last year’s number of 160 teams and continue to grow the Race, and help more local women.
